Walton states that its DST program launched in 2023 with a focus on all-equity land investments positioned for future development2. Land transaction record
Walton's reported land activity extends beyond its DST programs. On June 24, 2026, the firm announced the sale of 1,736 acres in Hays County, Texas, within the Austin MSA, to Wilson Capital and Carlton Capital Investments for The Ridge master-planned community7. On February 24, 2026, it announced the sale of 2,812 acres at Kemp Ranch in Ellis County, Texas to Minto Communities within a larger 3,169-acre master-planned community combining residential, mixed-use and commercial space8, and on July 17, 2026 a Phase 2 sale of 35 acres comprising 198 lots at Lake Ridge Parkway in the same county to Meritage Homes9. On the acquisition side, Walton announced 130 residential lots known as Gemini in Splendora, Texas on January 27, 202610 and 64 residential lots in the Oakfield Lakes community in Sarasota, Florida on February 23, 202611.
