In May 2023, Carter Exchange sold a Savannah-area multifamily asset for $62.5 million, a roughly 2.8-year hold that produced a reported 32.67% annualized total return.4 In June 2023 it completed the sale of an apartment community in Concord, North Carolina for $74.7 million.5 In February 2026 the sponsor reported selling a Burlington, North Carolina multifamily property for $48 million, citing a 55.4% total return to DST investors.6
Acquisitions and closings
In January 2024, Carter Exchange acquired a 9.73-acre Atmos Energy regional service center in Forney, Texas for $12.6 million on behalf of CX Texas Industrial II, DST, under a 20-year absolute net lease.7 In August 2024 it announced the full subscription and closing of the $48.8 million CX Courts of Avalon, DST, a multifamily property in Pikesville, Maryland.8
