Self-Storage Portfolio V DST Reached Full Cycle in a Section 721 Roll Into Inland's ALT REIT

Inland Private Capital's four-property self-storage Trust went to the REIT's operating partnership rather than to an outside buyer, closing a hold that began with a 2017 Form D.

Published Updated

Self-Storage Portfolio V DST reached full cycle on April 11, 2024, when the operating partnership of IPC Alternative Real Estate Income Trust (Inland ALT REIT) acquired 100% of the beneficial interests in the Trust, sponsored by Inland Private Capital (IPC). The Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) changed hands as a whole, in a Section 721 UPREIT transaction.

Four properties stood behind those interests at closing: two in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, and two in Montgomery, Alabama, per the announcement.
